最後の晩餐』について、当時としては画期的な画面構成、遠近法について数多くの画家・歴史家・美術評論家が賞賛し、論評を加えている。
　ところが過去５００年間、誰一人として右手首の不自然さについて問題を提起し、解答を与えてくれていないのが不思議である。

　美術書の解説によれば、ルネサンスの画家達は勿論ピカソも見ているし、ゲーテも見ている。

　レオナルド・ダ・ビンチほどの理科学的で冷静な画家が下絵を描き間違えたり、思索的で気位いが高く人付き合いはよくないが、この場合途中で投げ出したりしたとは思えない。
　
　ウィンザー城に残る『ペテロの右腕のための習作』はペテロの手首がユダの背後で、密告者に対する然るべき角度にありながら敢てナイフを斜め後方内側に引いたのは、壁画を見る者と、畏れ多いキリストにナイフの切っ先が向かない為の苦心の跡であったと思わざるを得ない。

　美術学校の先生方はどのように学生さんに解説なさるのでしょうか？

　イタリア留学のＴ・愛子さんが美術部門の教授に尋ねたところ全く聞いたこともない風ですぐに話を変えられてしまったそうです。
もっとも、壁画修復以前、1970年頃ペルージャで美術の基本を学んでいた私の弟（パルテ・ヨシミツ）の談によれば、当時「あれは誰の手だろう？誰かがいたずら描きしたのかもしれない」と言う噂話はあったようです。
しかし、それは今回の修復でそうではないことが明らかにされました。

　私は下地に残る右手膊（ハク）の部分とナイフの刃と切先の向きで以上2つの解答を報告することが出来ました。
　

　皆さんはどの様にお考えでしょうか？
一度、徳島・鳴門の大塚国際美術館を訪れになって、原寸大の壁画を前に、暫くレオナルド・ダ・ビンチが新約聖書で最も劇的な場面を今迄とは異なる方法で描こうとした心境を考えてみられたら如何でしょうか？
　哲人が悩んだギリギリの線が見えてくるかも知れません。

Concerning The Last Supper of Jesus many painters, historians　andconnoisseurs have admired and commented about the epoch-making well-balanced layout and foreshortening method used in the picture.
But I think it is mystery that Nobody questioned the unnaturalness of the right wrist of the Peter and gave us satisfactory answers in the last 500years According to the explanation of a book of art, Not only painters in theRenaissance era, Picasso an Goethe appreciated the picture.
I think it is unnatural that a scientific and calm man like Leonardo da Vinci made mistakes in drawing the sketch and stop painting without completing the picture in spite of the fact that he is thoughtful, haughty and were bad at getting alongwith people.When I look at "The Etude for The Right Arm of Peter" which is housed in the Winsor castle, I cannot help regarding the scene that Peter's wrist withdrew behind the Judas in spite of the fact that he is in favorable position against the betrayer as his thoughtful hard intention not to direct the edge of the knife to Jusus Christ and observer of the picture.　　　　　　　　　　　　
It might be lifelong regret for him. I wonder how the teachers of art school explain to their students. When Ms Aiko T. inquired about it to a professor who is in charge of art department, he seemed to be that he had never asked about it and changed the topic immediately.
However according to my younger brother who studied the basic of art in Perugia in 1970s, there was a rumor "whose hand is it, someone must have painted in the picture with mischievous mind". But the renovation this time proved that the rumor is not true.
I am able to report by the artery of right hand and the direction of the edge of the knife two answers.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
I wonder how you think of it. Why don't you visit Otsuka art gallery in　Naruto, and stand in front of the full-scale picture, and imagine the attitude of mind that Leonardo da Vinci tried to paint the most dramatic scene in New Testament using the method which was different from the way it used to be.You might find the limit of creativity he wants to show.
